Ava's Gift of Family Day's Out
Thanks to Ava's gift, we are able to offer day's out to help families during their grief journey. When a family are able to, a day out may provide a distraction from the grief, evoke positive emotions and bonding time. Below are the attractions we can provide free passes to, please contact us via 'Request Support'.
Meet Ava. Ava Bay Gill was a very much loved and wanted little sister to Olivia. Very sadly Ava died unexpectedly aged 7 days. Debbie, our chair of trustees and Ava's daddy Anthony have raised money in Ava's name and this will fund Ava's gift.
Ava's older sister Olivia was 4 at the time of Ava's birth and death, and eventually, getting away for days out as a family was crucial in trying to repair and rebuild from the sadness.
Our Christmas reindeer ranch visit 2024
Once again we will be taking families to the reindeer ranch in Chilthorn Domer. This Christmas the session is on the 23rd December 1pm to 2pm. We believe that this visit is such a lovely thing to do with our families, to bring a little bit of magic and excitement for siblings affected by pregnancy and baby loss before christmas. The session will include:
Story time with Santa
A gift for each child under 16 years old
A complementary luxury hot chocolate on arrival
A magical, Elf led guided tour to see real Reindeer. As a special treat you will take a journey through the magical wardrobe, where everyone's favourite Unicorn can be seen and photographed.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase special items from the shop (cash or card).
Reindeer food can be purchased for £2 per portion.
Members of our charity will also be on hand in case a family member requires support during the visit.
Please see the Somerset Reindeer Ranch website for any further questions about the visit. Sadly we can only take a number of families, and we prioritise families with a recent loss, or a recent change such as welcoming a rainbow baby, and are based in Somerset or the surrounding areas.
